Have you ever craved for an idyllic weekend gateway which is a perfect blend of royalty, serenity and the freshness of modernism? If you nodded your head in yes then NEEMRANA FORT is the place for you to be.

Neemrana Fort

Built in 15th century in Alwar district of Rajasthan, this palace is just 122km away from Delhi on Delhi-Jaipur highway. Its advisable to book a cab(Ola Or Uber) for a day (will cost you around 2400Rs to and fro), take NH48 and in approximately 2 hrs 30 mins you will arrive at your destination. The parking area is a bit cramped especially during weekends but you don’t have to worry if you are going via cab.

The entry to the fort is through a gigantic wooden & iron gate that gives you the genuine kingly/queenly feel at the very outset of your trip. You can then buy the entry tickets at the reception ( though not really a reception as only two guys were sitting on chairs there).

The magnificent palace is spread over 3 acres of land carved into 14 layers overlooking the Aravali mountain range. You will soon find yourself indulging in the beauty of this architectural heritage of our country. Keep your camera or smartphone ready for the photoshoot as the breathtaking surreal views will sweep you off your feet.

Zipping at the Top

The outdoor pool is one of the relaxing enjoyable place at the fort. You will find many foreigners on the pool side during the day time. Further if you want to rejuvenate your body, mind and soul then Neemrana also has Spa that offers Ayurvedic massages at your service. Truly you will have an amazing splendid and refreshing day here.

Neemrana Fort at Night

Now its time to have a lavish lunch at the fort (at least the fort’s advertising says so). The buffet timings are from 12.30pm to 2.30 pm where North Indian cuisine with continental dishes are served. Well! honestly speaking the food is not so scrumptious and seemed a bit overpriced.

WAIT! Are these relaxing activities not your cup of tea? Are you looking for some adventure sport that can get you adrenaline rush? Then there is other side of this peaceful palace that will not disappoint you.
Neemrana also offers Zip-lining at a cost of INR 2000/- per person that gives you a captivating and spectacular aerial view of the fort and Aravalis for almost two hours comprising of 5 zip lines and not to worry about safety as instructors will accompany you and you will get practice session before the actual activity. The route is approximately 400 m. So leaving all your worries on the surface, you just fly HIGH IN SKY…..

If your budget is on the higher side then you may book from a variety of deluxe rooms/suites or better to call them “MAHALS“. The room tariffs range from INR 10K to INR 30K and you will be surprised neither to have a TV (royal people don’t had it either duh ) nor room service there. But that is Ok if you want a day off from the nuisance of the outer world and be with your loved ones experiencing an archaic traditional stay. The light studded fort at night gleams brilliantly presenting an indescribable picturesque view.

All’s said and done, Neemrana offers you a peaceful environment to sit back with your loved ones and feel proud of our rich cultural heritage that touches your heart and soul.
